How we work
- 01
On-site quotes for demolition
Every demolition job is priced in person. Book a site visit: we walk the space with you, then send a written quote with scope, exclusions and conditions.
- 02
Junk removal? Text us photos
For junk removal, send a few pictures of what is going and we get back to you with a price.
- 03
Ready for the next trade
We haul the debris away and leave the site cleared, so your next crew can get straight to work.
- 04
Asbestos done in the right order
We do not remove asbestos. If your building might have it, a designated-substances survey comes first and licensed abatement follows. Then we demolish.

We don’t touch asbestos. That’s the point.
Some demolition companies will tell you they do it all. We do the demolition, and we make sure the steps before it happen in the right order, by the right people: survey first, licensed abatement, then us.
Read the asbestos and permit FAQ- Built before 1990? Ontario law puts the onus on the owner to identify designated substances before a contract is signed. That means a designated-substances survey.
- Survey finds asbestos? A licensed abatement contractor removes it, and you get a clearance letter.
- Utilities and permit. Gas, hydro, water and sewer disconnected where needed. Enbridge alone takes about 44 days, so it gets requested first.
- Then we demolish. No change orders for surprise asbestos, no stop-work orders, no crew exposed.
Ottawa specifics
The numbers we plan around
City and utility facts, not marketing. Missing any one of them is how a two-day demolition turns into a two-month delay.
Base City demolition permit fee
$117
For the first 5,000 sq ft (2026 schedule). $1,170 under Demolition Control.
Enbridge gas disconnect
~44 days
From payment. The longest lead time on most house demolitions, so it gets requested first.
Hydro Ottawa notice
3–4 weeks
For the electrical service request before a demolition.
Trail Road IC&I ban
Jul 1 2025
Commercial garbage no longer goes to the City landfill. We route it to licensed private facilities.

Frequently asked
Do you remove asbestos?
No. We do not remove, disturb or haul asbestos or other designated substances. When a building needs it, a licensed abatement contractor removes it first, and we start once you have their clearance letter. We would rather lose a job than cut corners on this.
Do I need a permit to demolish a house or building in Ottawa?
Yes. Demolishing a building in Ottawa requires a City demolition permit. The application includes a Demolition Permit Clearances form showing the utilities have been dealt with, plus a site plan or survey. We give you the checklist and track it with you.
How long do utility disconnects take?
Enbridge gas disconnects take about 44 days from payment, so request that one first. Hydro Ottawa asks for the request three to four weeks ahead. Water and sewer capping is arranged with the City, and a sewer disconnection fee may apply.
How long does a house demolition take from start to finish?
Plan on six to eight weeks from first call to demolition day, mostly for permits and the gas disconnect. The demolition itself usually takes one to three days, plus foundation removal and backfill if included.
How do you quote?
Demolition is always quoted on site. Book a site visit and we walk the job with you, looking at what is coming out, the size, the age of the building and access. Junk removal is the exception: text us photos and we send a price back. Every quote is written, with the scope and exclusions spelled out.
